    JASON JACOBS---BEST MECHANIC EVER!!!

If by chance you are traveling I-75 through Georgia and just happen to experience technical difficulties with your vehicle, I hope that you are near exit 62. While in route to Disney World, my vehicle began to have issues. I got off at exit 62, headed to Walmart to get an oil change, thinking this may solve my vehicle issue, only to have the Walmart manager refuse to service my vehicle due to the loud tapping sound from the engine. I asked the young lady who initially wrote up the oil change service request (before the mgr refusal) if she knew of a place where I could have my vehicle looked at. The place she referred me to was closed, but the guy who owned that shop sent me to his "buddy down the street." My friends, I know God had his hands in this entire ordeal. Jason Jacobs is the mechanic whom I was sent to to have my vehicle looked at and he was nothing short of amazing! He stopped his lunch to come out and take a look and listen to my vehicle. He then ran the diagnostic check to see if something showed there. He could find nothing. No charge. So on my way I went, with 6 girls in tow, headed to Disney World. About 30 miles away, the engine began to overheat. I got off the highway and called Jason. He asked where I was, took down my cell # and told me he'd call me back in a few minutes. When my phone rang, it was a buddy of Jason's who had his own tow truck. I regret that I forgot his name, however he offered to come get me, the girls, and the vehicle as soon as he dropped off his family back at home (they were out enjoying the day at a picnic). I told him that I would try to get my vehicle back to Jason after the engine cooled down some but that if it didn't work, I'd call him back. I made it back to the repair shop, Tifton General Tire, and Jason had already ordered a thermostat and had it delivered upon my re-arrival. He changed the thermostat, told me he really didn't think that was the problem, and charged me a whopping $23.46, the cost of the thermostat (he told me that any man who had the guts to take 6 girls on a 1200 mile journey by car should not be charged for anything). Oh yeah, the shop closes at noon, Jason worked on my vehicle well past that time. So off we went again. And again, at 30 miles away, the engine began to overheat. I called Jason (he gave me his cell # with the instruction to call him if I had any problems or when I got to Disney) and told him I was coming back to his shop. I had the good sense to call around earlier for a car rental as my back up should my vehicle continue to experience technical difficulties, and that place was Tenneson Nissan at exit 61 off I-75 (Jay was great too, he hooked me up with a 2013 Nissan Quest for 7 days, 1400 miles, for $332. Told you God had his hand in this!). So after I spoke with Jason to let him know I was headed back, he called me back with a offer that was above and beyond the "call of duty"! Jason offered to repair my vehicle, on Easter Sunday mind you, for only the cost of the part (he was "97%" certain it was the radiator). NO LABOR CHARGE!!! That meant I would save the cost of the rental vehicle but at the expense of losing 1 day of the Florida vacation. I told Jason I would have to discuss it with the girls. No need to go into detail about what the girls wanted, especially the #3 offspring!!! This is a long story, but I felt it necessary in order to relay the full meaning and feeling of what transpired here. Jason Jacobs and I were oblivious of each others existence on March 30th, 2013. All that changed on March 31st. I can't express enough the gratitude and appreciation that myself and those 6 girls traveling with me have for this man. Jason Jacobs has proven thru his actions that there are people in this world who genuinely care about their fellow human beings. God bless Jason and all the employees at Tifton General Tire.
